["Dandoo"] "The Wife Wrapt in Wether's Skin"- Wilkinson MSS, 1935-36, p. 96, Sung by Z. B. Lam, Standardsville, Va., November 9, 1935.

Little old man lived in the West,
Dandoo.
Little old man lived in the West,
Tu ma clish tu ma clash tu ma cling-o.
Little old man lived in the West,
And he had had a wife, she was none of the best,
Tu ma ling ling liddy may liddy may go,
Tu ma clish tu ma clash tu ma cling-o.

2. Little old man come in from his plough,
Says: Ain't you got breakfast ready now?

3. A little piece of bread and meat laying on the shelf,
And if you want anymore you can get it yourself.

4. Little old man went out to the sheep pen,
And out he drawed the old wether by the shin.

5. Hung the old wether up by the shin,
And off he drawed his old wooly skin.

6. Throwed the old wether skin cross his wife's back,
And two litde sticks went whickity-whack,

7. I'll go home and tell my father and mother, and all my kin,
How you tanned the old wether skin.
