B. Jimmy Random, My Son- sung by Mrs. W. F. Dawson of Slick. Mrs. Dawson was born at Aurora, Missouri, and came to Indian Territory with her parents when she was a year old. "I grew up in the Choska Bottoms, not too far from Sallisaw," she told us.
"Have you been to your dinner, Jimmy Random, my son,
Have you been to your dinner, my little last- one? "
"I've been to my dinner; et half a snail head.
I'm sick to my heart-- and I wish to lie down."
