NOTES: "Come On And See About Me" or "Come And See About Me" is a gospel number of unknown origin from the Swanee Quintet for Nashboro in 1954. This popular black gospel song had been covered by many top groups including The Dixie Hummingbirds and James Cleveland.
Even though versions vary widely by song is built around the choral response "come on see about me" or "come see about me" which usually is the end line by the lead and is used as a choral response by the group. The song "Doors Of Progress" is an original song based on "Come And See About Me." The Supremes, "Come On And See About Me" seems to be also based in this gosepl song.
