Hurt also recorded the song under the title, "Praying on the Old Camp Ground." The song is based on the old song, "Tenting on the Old Camp Ground" by Walter Kittredge.
Hurts uses the same guitar solo and melody for another gospel song, his arrangement of "Blessed Be The Name Of The Lord."
