"Christ in the Garden" Nellie S. Richardson; pre-1932
As I pass-ed the garden,
I sorrowed to hear,
A voice of contrition,
From one kneeling there.
So deep was his sorrow,
So fervent his prayer,
That down on his forehead,
Rolled the sweat, blood and tear.
I wept to behold him,
I asked him his name,
The answer was, "Jesus,
From Heaven I came."
I am your redeemer
And for you I must die
The cup is most painful,
But it shall pass by.
I ran from the garden,
To spread this abroad,
And I shouted, "Hosanna,
All glory to God."
