C. [On Yonder Hill] This version of The Cambric Shirt was sung by Mrs. Belle Kettner of Park Hill. Twelve years earlier, Mrs. Kettner had dictated the words to her songs for us. Now we wanted the tunes, and while recording them we asked whether she knew this one. She sang it spontaneously.
On yonder hill there sits a noble knight.
"Say the fairest damsel you sight,
'Summer sea a merry of time
And then she will be a true lover of mine."
