The Mull Dams o' Binorrie- sung by Mrs Duncan of New Deer, Aberdeenshire about 1907, collected by Earnest Coutts for Greig.

1. "Oh sister, oh sister, will ye go to the dams,
      Binorrie oh an Binorrie,
To see wir father fishin' boats,
  Anmd to see the mullert lad o' Binorrie.

2   The youngest stood on a stone,
      Binorrie oh an Binorrie,
And the eldest dang the youngest in,
 To the bonnie mulldams o' Binorrie.

3  She swam up and she swam doon,
      Binorrie oh an Binorrie,
And  she swam back to her sister again,
 In the bonnie mulldams o' Binorrie.

4  Oh sister, Oh sister reach me your hand
      Binorrie oh an Binorrie,
And I'll give all that's at my command
  But the bonnie the mullert lad o' Binorrie.

4   It wisna for that that I dang you in,
      Binorrie oh an Binorrie,
Because ye are so fair an' I am so din,
     So you'll droon in the dams o Binorrie.

5    The aul' mullert's daughter cam up to the dam,
      Binorrie oh an' Binorrie,
Twas for a pail o water to wash the miller's hands,
     He's the bonnie miller laddie o' Binorrie oh.

7 Oh father, oh father go fish in your dams
      Binorrie oh an' Binorrie,
For I think I see  swan there sweemin up an' doon,
  In the bonnie mulldams o' Binorrie.

8 The aul' mullert's man cam up to the dam,
     Binorrie oh an' Binorrie,
Says I, "I think it's nae swan but the droonin' o' a man,
  In the bonnie mulldams o' Binorrie.

9. They couldna ken her by her bonnie yellow hair,
  Binorrie oh an' Binorrie,
But the miller laddie fent her by the ring he gae her,
  In the bonnie mulldams o' Binorrie.

10. Mony a' ane was at her oot takin',
      Binorrie oh an' Binorrie,
But the mullert laddie dee't at her green grave makin',
 In the green kirkyard o' Binorrie.
