[Lady Margaret] Sung by Mrs.Margaret Quilter (74), Harbour Grace, Conception Bay,
Newfoundland; October 8, 1929.
Lady Margaret was sitting in a bower so high
Knight William on her knee,
When up rose the spirit of this pretty fair maid
And stood at Knight William's feet.
Saying: O mourned you, O mourned you for my seven pretty brothers,
O mourned you, come tell unto me.
It is for your sister Lady Margaret he cried,
Who died for love of me.
