L. I wish, I Wish- sung by Mrs. Willox of  Peterhead, about 1908. Greig L.

1. I wish, I wish my babe was born,
And sitting on some nurse's knee,
And me myself in the cold, cold grave,
And the bonnie green grass growing over me.

2. Strip me naked to the skin,
Ye cannot take out what my heart's teen in,
My misery and my sair doofa',
How sair I have suffered since he's gaed away.
