The Wexford Girl - Collected by William Doerflinger before 1951 from Charlie Chamberlain of Bathurst and Saint John, New Brunswick.
It was in the town of Wexford,
A merchant I knew well,
He had but one lovely daughter,
Twas her I did excel.
"Lie there, lie there, you Wexford child,
You thought to be my bride;
But I will never marry you,
Nor to you I be tied."
