Oh Father, Father Build Me Boat- Sung by Mrs. Bowker, of Sunderland Point, Lancaster, c. 1909.

1. O father, father build me a little boat
That on the ocean I may float
And ev'ry ship that I pass by,
I will enquire, I will enquire for my sweet sailor boy.

"O captain captain tell me true,
Is my sweet William amongst your crew?"
"What kind of clothes does he wear?"
"A pair of white trousers and a jacket blue."
