The Cherry-Tree Carol- Sung by Mrs. Marie Wilbur (Pineville, Mo.) 1930 Randolph. Mrs Wilbur learned it from her mother's people who came from Tennessee.
Joseph was an old man,
An' a very old man was he,
Th' time he married Mary,
Th' queen of Gal-li-lee.
Jesus spoke a few words,
An' a very few words spoke he,
My mother wants some cherries,
Bend over cherry tree.
