Charlie Condemned- Williams (KY) 1911 From: Thomas & Leeder's The Singing Gathering, 1939.
As I rode over London bridge
One morning bright and early,
With a sword and pistol by my side
A-hunting for my Charlie.
I rode up to the King's high court
That looks so wonderful sorry,
Is there [1] where you call the King's high court
Or is anyone here named Charlie?
The king looked over her shoulder
And this he said, 'Fair ladee, [2]
Fair ladee, you have come too late,
For Charlie's condemned already.'
1. Is this the place you call the King's high court
