[From Bradley Kincaid, WLS radio star, booklet, My Favorite Mountain Ballads and Old-Time Songs, 1928. The two Gennett recordings made in the late 1920s were not issued. Gennett Records was founded by the Starr Piano Company in Richmond, Indiana 1917.
Kincaid's popularity and influence came from his appearances on WLS Radio out of Chicago, one of the most listened-to stations in the country.
