Who is There? sung by Mrs. Marina Russell of Upway, Dorset in Jan./Feb. 1907. Collected by H. E. Hammond.

Oh! Who is there all under my window,
Your voice so loud I hear you there?
You may go court and love some other,
And whisper softly in her ear.

Begone, begone, you will wake my mother,
my father he will quick-a-ly hear,
You may go court and love some other,
And whisper softly in her ear.

Oh! why may I go and court another,
To rob my jewel of her charms,
For now she's grown up from her mother[1],
I'm sure she's fitter for her true love's arms.
