The Constant Farmer's Son - one verse sung by James Channon of Basingstoke, Hampshire : on Sept 1907; Collector: Gardiner, G.B. Gamblin, Charles

It's of a brisk young damsel  in London she did dwell,
So modest, fair and handsome, and her parents loved her well.
She was admired by lords and squires, but all their hopes were vain,
For there was one twas a farmer's son; for there was one twas a farmer's son,
Young Mary's heart could gain.
