Martha Bassett is an Americana and jazz singer from the NC Triad who did two or three concerts with the Messengers as the female lead. She's got a great natural voice and plays bass and guitar. At our Reynolda House concert she played some on guitar and sang. I know I learned several versions of songs from her that she sang and I recorded on tape.
