Kristina Powell is my ex-daughter-in-law, but she'll always be family to me. I helped raise Kristi since she was six years old. She's got a lot of good qualities and one of them is singing. She also was the Messengers bass guitar player for a while when Anthony Dalton stopped playing with us. She was a good bass player for a beginner and kept a good beat when she sang.
We've done a bunch of shows over the years and have a lot of memories. We did one big show outside Atlanta GA for a conference with Justin Swaim on banjo that was about a 9 hour drive one way. Kristi sang lead on the last Messengers CD Bluegrass Boogie. She does an outstanding job on Alabama Jubilee, I always get the words mixed up when I would sing it but she learned it the correct way.
