RECORDING INFO: Recorded by Fiddlin' John Powers {b. 1877} and his family band (Russel County, southwest Va.) in August, 1924 for Victor, however, the side was not issued by the company. The family re-recorded the song for Edison in October, 1925. Meade lists this with The Skillet Lickers "Fly Around my Pretty Little Miss" and "Georgia Wagner" instrumental as well as "Mammy's Nanny Goat" with vocal by Fiddlin' John Carson.
