ANYBODY HERE? Old Plantation Hymns by William Eleazar Barton (Boston, etc.: Lamson, Wolffe and Company, 1899
CHORUS: Is there anybody here who loves my Jesus?
Anybody here who loves my Lord?
Oh I want to know if you love my Jesus
Oh I want to know of you love my Lord.
VERSE: The angel's wings were tipped with gold,
That bro't salvation to my soul.
VERSE: What kind of shoes do you wear,
That you can walk on the air?
This world is a wilderness of woe
Let us all to glory go
I do believe without a doubt,
A Christian has a right to shout.
Religion is a blooming rose
And none but them that feel it know
You say you're aiming for the skies,
Why don't you stop your telling lies.
When ev’ry star refuse to shine
I know King Jesus will be mine.
IS THERE ANYBODY HERE?- John Work
Is there anybody here who loves my Jesus?
Anybody here who loves my Lord?
I want to know if you love my Jesus
I want to know of you love my Lord
This world is a wilderness of woe
So let us to glory go
Religion is a blooming rose
And none but them who feel it know
When I was blind I could not see
King Jesus brought the light to me
When ev’ry star refuse to shine
I know King Jesus will be mine
IS THERE ANYBODY HERE?- Traditional Spiritual; Transcribed from Jennifer Bynum
